jeanette farrier
kantha throw

Jeanette Farrier's interest in Kantha began while visiting India in 2003. She was entranced by the traditional village craft of stitching using sari to create ritual offerings of happiness, prosperity, and wish fulfillment. Jeanette was also determined to improve the lives of women she saw living in poverty in Kolkata by providing them with a means to generate income. These Kantha blankets are made from layers of vintage sari joined by a simple running stitch. Handmade in India.
