longstreet collection
shanghai windows, no. 3

Mother and son duo, Madeline and Robert Longstreet have combined their talents to create a unique portrayal of their interpretation of organic elements. This particular collection consists of images made using the Van Dyke Brown process. Similar to a cyanotype, the paper is coated with a photosensitive solution that when exposed to light changes the color of the paper. When objects are placed directly onto the coated paper, the action of light creates a silhouette effect. The Shanghai Window series are created from garden windows found in Shanghai. Handmade in Missouri.
